My 60th birthday has passed as it melded with my last day of work for a few months and now begins the two-week countdown to my departure to Italy. The house has become a shell of empty rooms and echoes. My birthday bon voyage party is this weekend with family and close friends and then the final details before hopping a plane to Long Island New York to visit my Aunt Nancy and a flight from LaGuardia to Naples.
